(Companion for Health Insights and Pet Care) is the app at the heart of the experience, helping owners track daily wellness, find answers when they need them, and connect directly to veterinarians, groomers, and trainers who come to them, reducing stress for pets and owners while catching health concerns early.
Ginger & Nash set out to build a production-ready pet care platform, but needed an affordable, quick, and reliable engineering solution to take an early prototype to something secure, scalable, and built to last.
Time was of the essence. The prototype needed to become a credible production platform in two weeks.
The platform had to support richer pet profiles, wellness insights, service-provider workflows, and a growing user base without locking the team into prototype code.
profiq joined Ginger & Nash as a development partner, using the profiq Weaver platform, a collaborative AI assistant guided by human engineering experts, to evaluate the existing prototype and rebuild it into a production-grade application.
profiq used the original prototype as a product specification, not as a technical foundation. With Weaver — profiq’s AI-assisted development stack combining structured specifications, AI agents, and senior engineering oversight — the team clarified the MVP scope, defined the architecture, and rebuilt c.h.i.p. into a production-ready application.
The original prototype helped validate the product vision, but it was not suitable for production. profiq rebuilt the application using the Weaver stack, with NestJS as the structured backend foundation, replacing inconsistent prototype code with a clean, maintainable, and scalable architecture.
Weaver enabled extremely fast iteration cycles. profiq was able to prepare and present multiple application versions within a single day, so the development velocity was no longer the bottleneck, and the focus could move to the product vision and design decisions.
By rebuilding c.h.i.p. on the Weaver stack with NestJS, profiq created a foundation ready for long-term growth, future features, richer pet profiles, wellness insights, service-provider workflows, and a growing user base.
