Turning an AI sales assistant into a real-time, multilingual avatar experience for e-commerce.

Overview

ROBOSALES.AI provides AI-powered sales assistants for e-commerce, helping shoppers find suitable products through natural conversation.

The platform already had a working conversational sales agent. ROBOSALES.AI wanted to explore a more engaging way for customers to interact with it: a digital avatar that users could speak to naturally while receiving relevant product recommendations.

profiq was asked to turn that concept into a working interactive demo. The project was carried out in November 2025, which is important context in a field where avatar, voice, and real-time AI technologies are evolving extremely quickly.

The Challenge

The main challenge was making the experience feel natural and responsive.

The solution needed to combine real-time speech-to-text, text-to-speech, an animated avatar, product recommendations, and the existing ROBOSALES.AI conversational platform.

Finding suitable avatar technology was also difficult. Several established providers were evaluated, but their APIs did not provide the real-time capabilities required for the project at that time.

Our Solution

profiq designed and developed a custom frontend application using React and Next.js, integrated with ROBOSALES.AI through APIs.

The team evaluated several avatar and voice technologies and ultimately built the solution on Azure infrastructure using Azure AI Foundry. This provided a unified environment for the services needed to support real-time voice interaction and the avatar experience.

Importantly, profiq did not replace ROBOSALES.AI's existing recommendation engine. The client's platform continued to generate answers and product recommendations, while profiq focused on the new interaction and presentation layer.

The application allowed users to:

  • choose from different avatar personas
  • communicate by voice or text
  • receive spoken responses from the avatar
  • see product recommendations during the conversation
  • switch between Czech and English, with support for additional languages possible

Technologies and Tools

The frontend was built with React and Next.js, integrated with ROBOSALES.AI's existing platform through APIs. The avatar, voice, and real-time interaction layer run on Azure infrastructure using Azure AI Foundry, providing a unified environment for real-time voice interaction and the avatar experience.
